Tybalt

Tybalt is the nephew of Lord Capulet who is very strong willed and wants to continue the fight with the Montague’s. In all the scenes we have with him all he does is fight with Romeo and Mercutio if they are within eye sight. Being called the Prince of Cats shows how they rest of Verona sees his cunnings in the feud as cats are sly tricksters who look cute but can change their mood in an instance and unsheathe their claws. Tybalt is based on Reynard the Fox who is a sly animal that tricks his games

These deal with the evilness of Scar along with his voice as Tybalt is in the feud between the two houses:

Mercutio

Mercutio our dear kinsman of the Prince is the most outspoken and playful in his ways. With the time we have with him before his death he gives us the most colorful speeches and is always ready for a good time. Queen Mab is the most recognizable of the play and with Mercutio.
Mercutio wants to help Romeo out of his depression about Rosaline there by taking him to the Capulet party where he meets Juliet.

Adding Information

I have updated some the information that I have in my book along with a few new items. One is a meaning of the name like Mercutio is derived from Mercury the Roman God who is unpredictable. I have also added some productions of other Romeo and Juliets that either deal with a female cast or look rather interesting for their apperance. There is also a time line of the play in the Timeline section, unfortunatly it is at the end of the section after the themes but it does give a good show of the breakdown of the play by days and scenes.

Enjoy!

Getting Started

Hey Guys,

I've started this blog as a way for me to get information to you. I'll post the websites that I have looked at so you can take a look at your pace and float around the sites. Hopefully by the end of the week I will have the site fully set.

But for now I want you to know this is here and I will still have all the information as hard copies with me.

Thanks,

Ginger
